1. Breakthrough in Public Investment Capital Disbursement.

-
By the end of July 2026, Da Nang had disbursed more than VND 8.813 trillion, reaching 51.26% of the public investment capital target assigned by the Prime Minister. Disbursement increased 9.76% from June and was VND 2.769 trillion higher than the same period in 2025. Da Nang ranked 10th among 34 localities nationwide. Several agencies recorded strong progress, including the Priority Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board at 62.96%, supporting key projects such as Lien Chieu Port and the coastal road.

To achieve 100% disbursement in 2026, Da Nang is accelerating project implementation, strengthening management, and removing administrative bottlenecks. The city is prioritizing strategic infrastructure, transport, ports and logistics, industrial parks, social housing, the Free Trade Zone, and the International Financial Center. These investments are expected to strengthen economic growth, improve connectivity, and create new opportunities for real estate development across Da Nang.

2. Apartment lifespan does not mean the end of ownership rights.

The proposal to introduce a lifespan framework for apartment buildings has attracted considerable attention in Vietnam’s real estate market. However, according to the Vietnam Association of Realtors (VARS), it is important to distinguish between a building’s technical lifespan and ownership rights, as homeowners do not automatically lose ownership when a building reaches the end of its designed lifespan. A building’s lifespan is determined by its design, construction quality, and periodic safety inspections. Once it reaches its designed lifespan, authorities will assess its structural condition. Buildings that remain safe can continue to be used, while only those deemed unsafe will be demolished or redeveloped. VARS emphasizes that the end of a building’s technical lifespan does not mean the end of apartment ownership rights. The proposed framework is intended to provide a clearer legal basis for renovating and rebuilding aging apartment buildings, while protecting homeowners’ legitimate rights and supporting safer, more sustainable urban development.

4. Da Nang Aims to Become a Globally Connected Coastal City.

Da Nang’s proposed Master Plan to 2050, with a vision to 2075, envisions a major transformation into a multi-polar, ecological, and globally connected coastal city. The population is projected to reach around 6 million by 2050, while infrastructure will be designed to accommodate up to 8 million. Urban expansion will focus westward, supported by new north-south transport corridors, while industrial zones will gradually shift west of the expressway. Coastal areas will prioritize tourism, services, and a high-quality night-time economy.
The plan also introduces major economic drivers, including the Da Nang Bay reclamation urban area, an innovation “Silicon Valley” in the south, the International Financial Center, and the redevelopment of An Don. A “living with water” approach will strengthen flood resilience through ecological parks and flood corridors. By 2050, Da Nang aims to become an ecological and smart coastal city and a national hub for startups, logistics, and heritage tourism. By 2075, it aims to become a distinctive Asian city with global connectivity.

5. Da Nang Plans a 160-Hectare Tourism Area in Hai Van Ward.

Da Nang has approved the 1/2000 zoning plan for Khe Ram Tourism Area, covering 164 hectares in Hai Van Ward within the city’s western ecological zone. More than 30 hectares will be allocated to tourism services, while over 25 hectares will comprise water areas. The plan includes three functional zones, featuring a visitor center and marina along the Cu De River, glamping, trekking, stream activities, and community tourism along Khe Ram Stream. The northwest valley will focus on high-end, peaceful resorts.
Designed for around 1,000 users and 500 workers, the project will not include permanent residential areas. The plan also introduces an inland waterway terminal and upgrades the ADB5 road, improving road and river connectivity. Located at Da Nang’s northern gateway, Hai Van benefits from a diverse landscape of beaches, mountains, rivers, and rural areas. Major projects such as Lien Chieu Port, Lang Van, and strategic transport infrastructure are expected to further drive tourism and real estate development in the area.
