1. Da Nang expands cooperation with US partners to boost investment and mobilize international resources.
Da Nang's city leadership just wrapped up a trip to the US to line up new investment partners. Big names involved: Ares Management (a $671 billion global asset manager), the UN Development Programme, Dallas city government, and companies like NVIDIA and HAS Group. The main goal is building out Da Nang's own international finance center (VIFC-DN) basically trying to create a business-friendly legal setup so global fund managers and green-finance/fintech firms want to set up shop here. The center also just joined a global network for sustainable finance centers. Priority areas for new investment: infrastructure, urban transit, energy, digital transformation, semiconductors/AI, and airport/logistics.

4. Da Nang Expands Its Southern Tourism Development Area.
The People’s Committee of Da Nang City has officially issued a plan to expand key tourism development toward the southern area for the 2026–2030 period. This strategy aims to diversify the local tourism ecosystem, relieve pressure on the urban core, and promote sustainable eco-tourism. To achieve this goal, the city has identified seven priority zones focusing on unique natural assets, including coastal, riverine, rural, and historic sites. Implementation is structured into two main stages: initial infrastructure setup, community training, and essential digital tool integration during 2026–2027, followed by expanded service quality and regional connectivity from 2028 to 2030. High-tech solutions like smart digital maps, AI analytics, bilingual QR lookup codes, and ubiquitous Wi-Fi will also be deployed across destinations. In conclusion, Da Nang’s southern tourism expansion underscores its commitment to modernizing visitor experiences while preserving natural and cultural identity. This initiative promises to establish a resilient, high-quality tourism destination that drives long-term economic growth across the region.
